First of monthly new lessons for Patrons added
Connecting the Legs and Chest can now be found in our Patron Treasures collection especially for Patrons of the Feldenkrais Project. Thanks to our Patrons’ generous support I’ll be adding lessons to this collection monthly! Mostly side-lying, exploring relationships of the head, spine, chest, and pelvis with a riddle: how do we actually lengthen a…
A Feet “Workshop” to Study at Home
In April’s featured lessons issue of the Feldenkrais Project Newsletter I shared a sequence of lessons for home study, for anyone looking for more comfortable, better-functioning feet! Check it out here. If you don’t already subscribe to our email newsletter, sign up right here!
FeldenkraisProject.com Launch Day
We did it! After years of dreaming, a successful six-month successful fundraising campaign, and two months under construction, today we launched this dedicated website for our donor-supported Feldenkrais lessons! Thank you, listeners and donors, for your passionate support! You heard our vision and made this new site possible. Please pardon our dust as we finish…
New Patron Treasures Lessons Explore Arching
I’ve added two new lessons to launch our new Patron Treasures collection for Patrons. This collection will grow quickly as Patrons can expect at least one new lesson per month. I’ve been teaching about arching (extension) in my classes recently. I noticed there weren’t a lot of lessons like this on the site, so we’re…
Collection: Legacy and Alternate Lessons
The Feldenkrais Project is a living collection of lessons. From time to time I replace a lesson with a new recording or edit, based on feedback from the listener community and refinements in my understanding and teaching of the Feldenkrais Method. The old ones land here.
New Lesson: Simple Twisting
You can find the newest lesson for everyone, Simple Twisting, in our Freeing the Spine, Chest, Shoulders, and Neck collection. It’s a slightly unusual take on the classic lesson which some Feldenkrais-oriented folks will know as Flexors and Extensors.
Collection: Essential Lessons for Easier Sitting
Learn more comfortable and lively sitting skills for home and work, and even while driving or traveling.
Collection: Lessons for Learning the Limbs, from the Center
Each can be studied on its own, or you can work your way through the whole collection to learn in-depth how to improve the organization of your hips, shoulders, and torso and improve your functional awareness of their relationships.
Collection: 12 Lessons from “Awareness Through Movement”
These audio lessons are sourced directly from Moshe Feldenkrais’s 1972 book, Awareness Through Movement. Over the years, the Feldenkrais Practitioner community has begun to teach many of these lessons in other ways, as I often do myself. But there’s great learning value in carefully examining Feldenkrais’s originals, so for these recordings I’ve mostly retained his steps and lesson titles even as I teach in my own words.
Study Guide for the book “Awareness Through Movement”
While Moshe Feldenkrais’s 1972 book titled Awareness Through Movement is one of his most accessible works, his scientific writing and broad musings about the social and anthropological implications of his discoveries can be challenging to parse. The whole book is worth reading, but I’ve highlighted below the sections that are most helpful to read before…
