UPDATED July 2, 2020: Due to the global economic challenges caused by the pandemic we’ve continued to offer our original launch year rates for quarterly or yearly Patron-level membership. As explained below, eventually we’d like to raise our rates closer (but still below) standards in our industry, but as always with funding the Feldenkrais Project our emphasis is on participation, not profit, and in these uncertain times we don’t want to cause strain.

While our $18 monthly Patron option will remain the same, our $45 quarterly and $150 yearly recurring Patron-level donation amounts will eventually increase to $50 and $180, respectively, to better reflect the value of our ever-expanding Patron benefits, and the realities of funding the Feldenkrais Project as we pursue our vision of Feldenkrais for all.
Your Generosity Gave Us an Incredible First Year
We are humbled and grateful every day that the Feldenkrais Project has been a success in its first year, and we are already achieving so much of what we set out to do. With your continued help, we look forward to many more years of spreading the life-changing benefits of Feldenkrais study as widely as possible.
When we built the Feldenkrais Project website Nick created our open content and free-will donation model “on a dream and a prayer.” It’s the way he wanted the internet to work, but we had no idea if it would! To give the Feldenkrais Project the best chance we could at launch, we offered very reasonable donation amounts to access our best donor benefits.
We’ve learned a lot as we’ve grown, and we’ve discovered new opportunities and challenges. We’ve revisited our rates given the need for Nick to continue to hire professional help to maintain, improve, and market the site, so that he can focus on teaching, recording, and sharing more Feldenkrais content, and continue to be the point of contact for our international community of listeners and donors.
We’ve also looked around and discovered what you might already know: we offer some of the very best Feldenkrais content on the web. That we share it in the spirit of gratitude and generosity is unique in the marketplace.
Even after this upcoming change all our donation levels that provide access Patron benefits will still be well below the roughly $25/month current value of other premium content subscriptions. Our Patrons receive access to Patrons Monthly, an always-growing, already robust collection of Nick’s favorite recent lessons, and live quarterly video updates and lessons (and archives), all while generously supporting our efforts to share Feldenkrais with the world.
One more “Patron perk” we’re pleased to announce: Patrons Monthly has been reorganized to include a collection of Patrons-only short lessons, and a Patrons-only Deep Dive called Walking with Your Whole Self.
We’re thanking our first year supporters by “grandfathering” our original rates!
Here’s the really good news: if you begin quarterly or yearly Patron-level donations to the Feldenkrais Project before our rates increase, your donation will stay at our low original rates ($45 or $150) going forward. These options generously support the Feldenkrais Project’s lessons and vision, and provide you with continuous all-access to our site for as little as $12.50 per month.
This way you’ll continue enjoying our Patron benefits with the $45/quarterly or $150/yearly rate indefinitely, unless you cancel or your payment method expires (you can cancel recurring donations or change payment methods anytime on our Manage Account page).
If you are currently receiving Patron benefits from a previous one-time Patron-level donation then our system should allow you to renew and prorate the difference. If you have any problems or questions, just ask Nick!
Just to be clear: previous one-time donations won’t become recurring automatically. If you want to “grandfather” our original rates, you’ll need to begin or renew Patron-level donation before our rates increase.
