We’re on a mission, together

2025 marks 10 years since I first started sharing Feldenkrais lessons freely online, and asking listeners for financial support for the project. From the beginning the vision was Feldenkrais for all.

A vision is an image of the world we’d like to live in. When we built The Feldenkrais Project’s current website in 2019 we expanded “Feldenkrais for all” into a three-part vision statement. I consult it regularly as I make business decisions at The FP. It also inspires our listeners to share and support our work.

I’ve since realized that what we called Our Vision is actually a mission statement. It guides us, in the present, toward our shared goals for the future. We’ve renamed and refined Our Vision & Mission statement.

Here’s the full content. Changes beyond grammar are in italics.

Our Vision & Mission

The Feldenkrais Project is a crowd-funded labor of love started by Nick Strauss-Klein in 2015. We’re a mission-based small business supported entirely by listeners who believe, like Nick, that more people doing more Feldenkrais makes the world a better place.

Our vision is Feldenkrais for all.

Thanks to our donors, our primary content—over 50 Feldenkrais lessons—is offered freely.

Our mission, together with our listeners and donors, is to:

Spread the life-changing benefits of Feldenkrais study as widely as possible, including to those who lack funds or access to teachers

Elevate awareness and teaching* of the Feldenkrais Method, and generate interest in practitioners and classes worldwide

Expand our listener community, building on the success of our grassroots donations model, to continue long-term funding for this project and others like it**

* In 2025 we’ll begin supporting Feldenkrais professionals on our website more directly, in addition to donating to these charities. News to follow in the coming months.

** This change reflects our new charitable giving. My hope is that 2025 is only the beginning of The FP’s financial support for other mission-aligned organizations.

Thank you to our Members and Patrons for helping us share over 50 Feldenkrais lessons with no financial barrier!

If you’re not yet a Feldenkrais Project donor and you think that more people doing more Feldenkrais makes the world a better place, we’d be honored to have your financial support!
