Hello Felden-fans!
As I prepared our new Deep Dive called Your Primary Bias, I reviewed all our old lessons that touch on this theme. Along the way I discovered that a few lessons deserve more descriptive names, or should be renamed to show connections to other lessons, or their standalone learning potential.
I’ve also re-edited a few old Patron lesson recordings to be more consistent with my current practices of removing asides and editing for greater clarity.
These lessons’ URLs (web addresses) will not change, and you’ll still be able to search for them by their old name. For a while you’ll also see it as a subtitle under the new name.
Attn: Members & Patrons
If you’ve played, saved, or “faved” any of these lessons for reference in My Journey, that data will carry over to the renamed lessons. Don’t be surprised when you notice an “unfamiliar” lesson in your lists. Just click on it to see its old name under its new name.
The Changed Lessons
- Advanced Twisting 1 is now Supple Twisting, because it works well as a standalone lesson, even as it prepares listeners for the next lesson:
- Advanced Twisting 2 is now Twisted Lamprey, indicating its close connection to a new lesson, The Lamprey Lesson: Your Primordial Spine (Patrons). This name change also helps listeners understand that its prerequisite is recommended, not required.
- Your Naturally Asymmetrical Spine (35m, Patrons) is now called In Essence: Your Primary Spinal Bias + Short Lamprey Lesson (32m, Patrons) to indicate its connection to The Lamprey Lesson. This older lesson has also been updated to my current standards for sound quality, flow, clarity, and removing asides.
- Finding and Using Your Spinal Bias to Step Down (33m, Patrons) is now called In Essence: Stepping Down, with a Bias (32m, Patrons), to better indicate its connection to Stepping Down, with a Bias (Patrons). Also remastered and re-edited for better sound quality, flow, clarity, and removing asides.
NOTE:
- In Essence lessons are a growing genre of short lessons for Patrons that can serve to introduce or review full-length lessons, suitable before or after studying them.
- Essence for “Experts” lessons are short lessons for Patrons that are for review only, after you’ve done the full-length version.
That’s it for now. If you’ve got any questions, please put them in the comments section below.
Happy studies!
– Nick
